Lunar Eclipse
Most importantly this month, however, is the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in your star sign Scorpio on the 5th. This eclipse is part of the eclipse cycle cutting across the Taurus/Scorpio axis of the zodiac highlighting relationships in your life, your identity, your personal goals and aims. This eclipse cycle started in November 2021 and completes in October 2023.
Eclipses can coincide with drama. Relationships are where there may be more intensity in your life and it’s wise to pay close attention to what’s happening. For example, meeting someone new could start a period of self-transformation and dramatically change your attitude to life.
Alternatively, you recognise the impact your actions have on other people. Listen carefully to your emotions during the eclipse and dig beneath the surface to find out what’s hidden. Secrets and confidences could be part of this eclipse experience.
There are other ways that this powerful eclipse could play out. You might have a psychic experience or converse with the dead. As a Sun Scorpio, this is your domain and you’re not afraid to venture whether others fear to tread.
However, ensure you don’t go in so deep that you lose sight of the light. If you’re a typical Sun Scorpio, you might have a side to your nature that can spiral downwards. If this happens, you need other people in your life who can bring humour, laughter and lightness into your world.
The Uranus Factor

Mercury Direct
Yet, there’s no need to rush into any major decisions this month. This is because communication planet Mercury remains retrograde in Taurus and your relationship sector until the 15th.
If someone’s gone quiet on you, this could be the turning point. If you’ve been unclear about a relationship or professional partnership, this is when you gain clarity.
Mercury turning direct often brings new information to light. You start to see the truth and know your own mind. Mercury’s been retrograde or on go slow since April 21st. If there are any conversations that need to happen, dive in deep.
Jupiter Goals – Relationships & Contracts
The biggest and best news is the fact that the planet of opportunity Jupiter enters your opposite star sign Taurus on the 16th, the day after Mercury turns direct. Jupiter remains here until May 2024. Therefore, you have the best planet boosting your love and relationship sector – gorgeous.
It takes Jupiter twelve years to circuit the zodiac and Jupiter spends approximately one year in each star sign. The last time Jupiter was in Taurus was 2011/2012.
Jupiter is the freedom lover, the pleasure merchant and wants to play big and soar high. This could be a wonderful period to get love right and do whatever it takes to bring happiness your way. Yet, Jupiter’s the liberator too and can bring freedom from a difficult or controlling relationship. It’s the planet linked to truth & justice.
Jupiter in Taurus spells good news for a business partnership or any kind of one-to-one collaboration. You might sign and seal an important contract during the next year. Or, find the right joint venture to boost your fortunes.
It’s love, however, that feels special and there could be wedding bells or a second honeymoon coming up in the year ahead. Know that Jupiter is about giving as well as receiving. Reach out to other people and do your bit to help others. There could be good news for your other half, giving you both reason to celebrate.
New Moon, New Beginnings
The focus on the star sign Taurus continues as this is where the New Moon falls on the 19th, a symbol of new beginnings. This is an excellent date to set your intentions around love and partnership. Or, to start over in a relationship.
Yet, it’s important to note what you may need to leave behind in order to fully embrace the future. On the 18th, Jupiter encounters your co-ruler Pluto in Aquarius, the star sign at the base of your horoscope. These two heavyweights clash in the heavens pitting your relationships against your home and family.
This could indicate closing a door on the past and saying yes to a new chapter in your life that involves someone special. Or, perhaps you have opposition from family or loved ones regarding what you’re doing personally or professionally.
Your traditional ruler Mars is involved too as it enters Leo and your career and vocation sector on the 20th. Immediately, Mars opposes Pluto on the 21st and clashes with Jupiter on the 23rd.
Something has to give here and you may have to decide where your priorities lie. Who or what are you leaving behind? Where are you ready to make a commitment to your future?
May could turn out to be a month of major events playing out. Change in one area can impact other areas of your life. Yet, as you stride boldly forward, recognise the people who are there for you, the ones who won’t let you fall or make the wrong moves.
