This is the time of year when the inner planets are moving through your fellow water sign Scorpio. This puts the spotlight on travel, education and any activity that expands your experience of life, philosophy and spirituality included. Here’s the pattern:
Planets in Scorpio:
- Mars (action/drive) – all month
- Sun (illumination) – until the 22nd
- Mercury (communication) – 5th to 24th
It’s a good month to take yourself out of your normal environment and enter a place where you can allow your dreams to expand and flow. Being close to water or the sea is one possibility.
When you find your special place or you connect with the meaning of life, then you feel at home. Explore whatever calls you, whether it’s a spiritual or artistic path. Find your muse and go with the flow.
You may be aware of a deeper calling during the New Moon in Scorpio on the 4th. A New Moon is a symbol of new beginnings and a chance to start over. During this time, it’s important that you tap into your flexible nature. You’re one of the mutable star signs which is why you enjoy going with the flow and letting life lead you.
This month, Uranus is active and kicks in during the New Moon phase. Uranus opposes the Sun and Moon from Taurus and your communication sector. This part of your horoscope rules transport and Uranus is linked to technology.
Therefore, if you’re on the move, you may have to take more than one diversion. Or, perhaps technology lets you down. Think laterally in the month ahead and come up with clever ways of achieving your travel or study goals.
Mercury and Mars are a lively duo in Scorpio. Mercury rules communication and Mars rules action. If you’re involved in the media, publishing or Law, now’s the time to get ahead and create a buzz about what you’re doing. For some of you, this month could signal a last-minute holiday or a chance to travel and be in contact with friends who live abroad. It’s an explorative phase for you, so make the most of this and keep stepping out of your comfort zone.
Mercury and Mars come together on the 10th but are immediately squared by Saturn in Aquarius. This indicates that there may be reasons you’re held back or restricted in the month ahead. Things may not play out the way you expect them to. Rules and regulations could stop your activities or another person’s disapproval could stop you in your tracks.
On the 13th & 17th, Uranus is once active as it opposes first Mercury, then Mars. This could mean changes to your plans so flexibility is key rather than being overly impulsive.
There are other ways this may play out. Perhaps, you dare to think differently and you’re ready to rock the boat if necessary. You could stand up for what you believe in and find your voice. Uranus is unconventional and alternative and it’s not a month to walk an everyday path. Instead, find the road less travelled and play your part in world events.
Also this month, there’s a Full Moon Lunar Eclipse on the 19th. This is the start of a new eclipse cycle that cuts across the Taurus/Scorpio axis of the zodiac and is active until October 2023.
This is the educational sector of your horoscope. It’s about schools and teaching, learning and knowledge. Taurus rules siblings, neighbours and your local community. Scorpio rules travel & foreign connections.
This suggests you may have changes forced upon you because of world events. A course could be postponed or cancelled, a trip may have to be rescheduled. You could be going back to school as a teacher or be thinking about how to move your skills or your business online.
Some hopes or dreams may have to be shelved or released this month and put back in the drawer. Or, you could be feeling disillusioned with what’s happening in the world. Be realistic about what you can and can’t achieve.
Rest of the Month’s Astrology
The planet of relating Venus enters Capricorn and your friendship and group sector on the 5th where it remains until the end of the month. Make sure you have your friends around you, whether you’re seeking fun, advice or support. This will make any sudden changes bearable and you’re more likely to find the humour in any situation.
Venus teams up with Uranus in Taurus on the 19th, the day of the eclipse confirming that your friends, possibly a girlfriend, could step in to save the day. Also, on the 30th, there’s a gorgeous Venus-Neptune romantic connection which links love and friendship.
On the 22nd, the Sun enters Sagittarius and your career and vocational sector. Plus, two days later on the 24th, talk planet Mercury moves into Sagittarius. This feels as if you know where you’re heading and why. You might be able to make sense of the unusual events playing out this month.
Start to fire some arrows high into the sky for 2022 and beyond. Take on a teaching role, consider work abroad and dare to dream big.
Eclipse Do’s & Don’ts
Eclipse season is here and a new Taurus/Scorpio eclipse cycle is underway. Here are some eclipse tips:
- Try not to fear an eclipse – they are a reminder that we’re not always in control.
- Don’t choose an eclipse date to launch a project or start something new.
- Wait a few days after an eclipse before taking action. Eclipse symbolism is shadowy and hidden.
- Once the eclipse shadow lifts, then you can try to take advantage of any changes that have occurred.
- Know that the eclipses are closely linked to the karmic nodes & wheel of destiny – they offer a turning point.
