If you know anything about astrology, you may already know that March heralds two big astrological events: Saturn entering Pisces on the 7th and Pluto entering Aquarius on the 23rd. I’ve addressed what both these events mean for you in separate sections at the bottom of this month’s horoscope.
It’s all about you as March begins with the Sun in your star sign Pisces until the 20th and talk planet Mercury here from the 2nd to the 19th. Therefore, turn the focus towards your personal goals and make the most of your birthday celebrations if you’re a March-born Pisces.
When planets are in your star sign, it’s an excellent time to focus on your image and profile and consider how other people see you and how you come across in the world.
The strong emphasis on your star sign Pisces could tap you into your creative or spiritual source. You might be having profound thoughts or find that your imagination is unusually fertile. Go with the flow, listen out for signs and trust in life.
It’s an ideal time to embrace the best side of your Pisces star sign, the world of fantasy and dreams, your compassionate and giving nature.
This month’s Full Moon takes place on the 7th and cuts across the Virgo/Pisces axis of the zodiac. This is about you and your relationships, the way you see yourself and your interactions with others.
You may make an intuitive decision on or around this Full Moon, either to end a relationship or partnership or commit to one. It could go either way. The Full Moon acts as a light of clarity and is an ideal time to make a big decision.
The trickiest period is from the 14th to the 17th when your modern planet Neptune is in overdrive. This could turn out to be an emotional few days which may be linked to your family, your home situation or your past.
Try not to get into an argument on or around these key dates. It may be time to let something go and release what’s no longer needed, rather than try to fight for what you want or need. Alternatively, you could have a deeply profound and spiritual experience that changes your perspective on life.
Also this month, there’s major planetary activity in fire sign Aries ruling your personal money and your values. Your traditional planet Jupiter is in action here as it’s moving speedily through this sector of your horoscope.
Plus, there are two potentially lucky conjunctions taking place. The first is on the 2nd when Venus and Jupiter align in Aries. This combination can coincide with big love or big money. You might receive something special or want to treat yourself and the ones you love. What you give, you receive in return is the Venus-Jupiter message.
Then, Jupiter teams up with talk planet Mercury in Aries on the 28th. This may coincide with divine intervention, good news or a solution to a financial issue.
Hopefully, these conjunctions bring something new your way which helps to boost your financial situation. Jupiter’s the planet of hope and faith and a reminder to aim to strengthen your trust in life and that life will provide for you.
Aries’ activity intensifies as the month goes on. On the 19th, communication planet Mercury enters Aries followed one day later by the Sun’s move into Aries on the 20th.
This is the day of the Equinox, a symbol of fresh starts and the beginning of a new zodiac year. Plus, on the 21st, there’s a New Moon in Aries, so things could happen fast and furiously during this period in the month.
Leap into action when it comes to money matters and deal with any issues regarding your assets or possessions. It’s not just about money, however, but what you value and where abundance lies for you personally. Boost your self-worth and give your confidence a lift by engaging actively with life.
Mars On The Move
Also this month, it’s important to consider your home and family life and whether any changes are needed in these key areas of your life. This is because action planet Mars is completing its journey through Gemini, the star sign at the base of your horoscope.
Mars has been in Gemini for an unusually long time since August 2022. This is where Mars turned retrograde in the last two months of 2022 and the first half of January 2023. You may have been on something of a roller-coaster ride over the last period.
Mars is a pro-active influence n your home and family sector, yet can be argumentative too. Perhaps, you’ve had to confront what’s challenging to bring things out into the open.
On the 16th, Mars leaves its shadow phase and this period could be emotional, as mentioned above. Where are you needing to let go or move on?
Then, on the 25th, Mars departs Gemini and moves into your fellow water sign Cancer. This highlights your children, romance and all the good things in life. Whatever you’ve been actively searching for in these key areas may materialise in March or over the next couple of months.
You may discover that your creativity opens up or you have more time to give to a hobby or leisure activity. It turns your focus away from your personal life towards your creative life, whatever that means for you.
Saturn Enters Pisces – March 7
Saturn is the planet of rules and regulation, authority, discipline and boundaries. Since December 2017, Saturn has been in Capricorn and Aquarius, its two signs of rulership. Saturn rules with a firm hand during this period.
This month, Saturn moves into Pisces, the last star sign and an emotional water sign, which is unknown territory for the planet representing boundaries. Pisces is where the ego dissolves and you encounter the vast universe, the one-ness of life.
Will the unreal become real as fantasy, the imagination and the impossible become possible? Or, will Saturn bring structure and form to Pisces’ realm, e.g. the sea, drugs, the media, spirituality? The last time Saturn was in Pisces was 1993-1996 and this time around, Saturn remains in Pisces until 2026.
Pisces is your star sign and to have Saturn here is hugely significant. What are you ready to commit to? Alternatively, what do you want to bring an end?
Saturn is the planet of responsibility, also hard work and effort. This could help you flex your levels of self-discipline, when you’re ready to commit whole-heartedly to a project or goal. You might be willing to step into a position of leadership .
Yet, be wary of taking on too much or working overly hard. Keep close tabs on your stress levels, your attitude and prioritise well-being. Don’t allow the gloomy side of Saturn to take hold.
Pluto Enters Aquarius – March 23
The slowest-moving planet Pluto changes star sign this month and moves into Aquarius. Pluto is the planet of power & transformation, loss & endings. The last time Pluto changed star sign was 2008 when it entered Capricorn, the sign of big business, coinciding with a financial crash.
It will take Pluto eighteen months before it’s established in Aquarius, the star sign linked to technology, equality and the collective, where it will remain until 2043.
As Pluto’s a generational planet, the themes may not resonate with you immediately. Yet, it’s helpful to note where Pluto is strong in your horoscope and where there may be a theme of transformation, loss or deep psychological change.
Pluto’s been moving through Capricorn and your friendship and group sector. It’s here where life may have transformed dramatically over recent years.
Pluto’s move into Aquarius turns your gaze inwards. This is a reflective placing for the planet of self-transformation. You might recognise that outer changes in your life start with deep inner change. You may be on a powerful path of self-discovery.
Yet, like Saturn’s move into Pisces, be vigilant that you don’t fall into negative thinking or allow the weight of the world to bring you down. As a Sun Pisces, you’re incredibly sensitive and empathic so put firm boundaries in place to protect yourself, especially if you’re working with other people in your role as healer or transformer.
