Leo season is officially over and, this month, it’s down to business. Your ruler the Sun is now in the earth sign Virgo. In other words, it’s a month for efficiency, order and structure. The Sun remains in Virgo until the 23rd.
The only planet left in your star sign Leo this month is Venus, the planet of love & money, art & beauty. Venus is only here for a few short days as she also enters Virgo on the 5th where she remains until the 29th.
Money Matters
Virgo rules your personal money, your possessions, also your values and self-worth. It’s about how you support yourself financially but also considering where your money goes and what you do with it. This would be a good time to think about how you trade your time for money, the ways you make money and how you can use your money to be of service to others.
This is about your security too, the basics of life and bringing form and structure into your daily routine. It’s an important month to consider what you do with your time, whether you use it effectively or whether you’re overly busy or unemployed.
There may be times during September that could feel frantic as themes of overwhelm or disillusionment kick in. The Full Moon in Pisces on the 10th could be emotional or dramatic.
The 16th and 24th are dates when you may lose sight of where you’re heading and why. These key dates are a time to be careful with your money, not let it slip through fingers and be wary of scams or unsavoury schemes.
Whenever you feel out of control, rein things in, focus on what’s simple and easy and don’t allow your mind or fear to take hold. Virgo season is linked to nature. It’s about nurturing, feeding and nourishing yourself and others. Taking care of the earth, your body and soul. Simple appreciations, kindness and caring.
Keep Calm
Libra season starts officially on the 23rd, the day your ruler the Sun moves into Libra heralding the Equinox and the start of a new season.
Libra rules communication and community in your horoscope. It’s about making connections and getting the right people on your side. Once the Sun is in Libra, this may enhance your sales and marketing skills and your ability to use the written and spoken word to make swift progress.
Balance and harmony are key Libra traits and you may be seeking ease and comfort in your close relationships, both personal and professional. Conflict and aggression will be a no-no, a turn off. You may naturally find yourself veering towards the people in your life who calm you and ground you.
Yet, it is important that you have friends to talk to this month. Action planet Mars is now in Gemini and your friendship and group sector where it remains for an unusually long time until March 2023.
Keep the lines of communication open and make sure you have a lively group of people around you. People with diverse skills perhaps, as Gemini likes to share resources, trade and barter. The New Moon in Libra on the 25th would be an excellent date to start negotiations.
Mercury Retrograde
There is another important factor, however, linked to the planet of communication Mercury. On the 10th, the same day as the Full Moon, Mercury switches direction in Libra and turns retrograde. Mercury will remain on go slow until October 2nd.
This means that you have the communication planet retrograde in your communication sector for the second half of the month. Therefore, you’re wise to get on top of correspondence and have those all-important conversations before Mercury switches direction.
After the 10th, you’re allowed to change your mind, weigh up all the options and rethink your next steps. It’s important to remember, however, that you’re not the only one. Other people in your life could keep your waiting or take their time making decisions.
As Mercury switches direction opposite big planet Jupiter – exact dates are the 3rd & 18th, this suggests that travel and study plans could also be up for debate. This may signal a crisis of faith too or getting actively involved in a key area of your life where beliefs and principles matter.
Finally, Mercury retreats back into Virgo and your money sector on the 23rd. This means you may be rethinking finances or reworking your budget. Put off any big investments or financial deals until early October if possible.

Remember the Mercury retrograde mantra – put off the big decisions & major investments between September 10th to October 2nd. Here are some more tips:
- be flexible, have plans B, C & D up your sleeve
- take a step back, do less not more
- double-check everything, read the small print
- chase up old contacts, revisit the past
- use all the re-words – revise, rework, review, reconsider
- rest & retreat when you can
- do your research & explore your options ready to act when Mercury turns direct
