Gemini May 2021

28th April 2021 By Sally Kirkman 13 Comments

Gemini, monthly horoscopes, Moon

The Sun is in Taurus and the most hidden sector of your horoscope until the 20th. This is often a time when you want or need to retreat and take a step back. Sometimes, this is to take care of yourself. At other times, it’s in order to care for people close to you.

You may find that you’re closely tuned in to your emotional life, especially as May begins. You might be drawn back towards the past or have strong emotions around family or a place that means a lot to you.

Family finances could grab your attention this month too with active Mars in home-loving Cancer and your personal money sector.

This month’s New Moon falls in Taurus on the 11th, an ideal date for retreat, quiet or solitude. Yet, other planetary factors suggest that May won’t be as quiet as you might like.

Mercury Gemini/Mercury Retrograde

Most importantly for you, your ruling planet Mercury enters Gemini on the 4th and remains in your star sign for an unusually long time until mid-July. Mercury represents all forms of communication, both the written and spoken word.

Other people may want to listen to you and what you have to say. You might be advising others or giving talks or workshops with Mercury in your star sign.

The reason Mercury is in Gemini for such a long time is because it turns retrograde later this month on the 29th and remains on go slow until June 22nd.

Therefore, this is an indication that life will slow down towards the end of the month and you may need to revise or change your plans. Some of you might need to block out your diary in June to catch up with a busy schedule.

Plus, if you have anything important to pass on, say or initiate, make it happen earlier this month.

Love planet Venus is also in Gemini from the 9th onwards and this is gorgeous for treating yourself, practising self-love, gratitude and kindness. This might be significant for you because of what’s happening in Sagittarius and your relationship sector, again later in May.

Lunar Eclipse

On the 26th, there’s a Lunar or Full Moon Eclipse cutting across the Gemini/Sagittarius axis of the zodiac. Eclipses bring what’s hidden to light and can pinpoint change or drama.

Relationships can begin or end suddenly when eclipse season lights up your relationship sector. Although, it’s best not to make any big decisions on the day of the eclipse itself as things are often hidden from you until a few days later.

However, your ruling planet Mercury turns retrograde three days after this eclipse. This indicates that you might have to play a longer waiting game with regard to love or partnership until Mercury is back up to speed in June.

This eclipse is part of an eclipse cycle which began in June 2020 and lasts until December 2021. Apply these dates to your own life and consider what you’re building with regard to relationships and what you’re moving away from. This is significant both in your personal and your professional life.

Jupiter enters Pisces

The other big news this month involves the planet Jupiter. On the 14th, Jupiter, the planet of luck and opportunity, enters Pisces and your career and vocation sector where it remains until July 28th. Jupiter will return to Pisces at the end of this year on December 29th.

This could boost your ambitions and bring a chance to play big, fly high and expand your horizons. Jupiter’s the biggest planet and represents the free spirit, the entrepreneur.

Plus, Jupiter connects you with the world as it’s the global planet. Reach out to other networks and expand your career or purpose. Plan work abroad if you’re able to or take a sabbatical to study something you’ve always dreamed about.

Use the timing of Jupiter’s move through Pisces to plan what next. Things may peak over the next couple of months but then you have to wait until early 2022 for a new opportunity to grow and flourish.

Think back to 2010 when Jupiter was last in this sector of your horoscope. Consider what’s happening now, where you’re moving towards and how to use Jupiter’s good fortune to the best of your ability.

    Sally,

I check this for Rafa. As you may already know, he won Rome with the toughest competition this past week.

“On the 14th, Jupiter, the planet of luck and opportunity, enters Pisces and your career and vocation sector where it remains until July 28th….Think back to 2010 when Jupiter was last in this sector of your horoscope.”

Given 2010 has been the absolutely pinnacle of Rafa’s career so far and the time Jupiter in Pisces coincides with both French Open and Wimbledon, does this mean good fortune for Rafa? But then this:

“Mercury enters Gemini on the 4th and remains in your star sign for an unusually long time until mid-July….it turns retrograde later this month on the 29th and remains on go slow until June 22nd.”

Mercury represents tennis. How does Mercury retrograde mix with Jupiter in Rafa’s career sector? Are you going to resume your GS prediction for French Open and Wimbledon?

I’ll definitely take a look at the tennis – not sure yet what I’m doing – maybe one blog for both tournaments as they are relatively close together. Or, just Wimbledon. Yes, Jupiter Returns are great – if you have a good year because of Jupiter, then see what occurs 12 years subsequently. It’s tricky time coming up though – Mercury retrograde – the tennis planet – & eclipses in Gemini – the tennis sign. It may be a challenge to predict anything correctly – both are hidden themes.

But Mercury retrograde affects every player right, not just Rafa. What date/period is Gemini eclipse and how that will affect Rafa?

Yes, Mercury retrograde affects the game in general but in particular the ‘mercurial’ types and especially the Geminis. Rafa’s not the only one. Two eclipses – May 26 and June 10 – I haven’t looked at any tennis players’ chart yet.

Yikes. Both eclipses will be within the French Open.

Please please please do your Slam predictions again. Lots of interesting astrology to talk about.

        Wait, this is 2021. It’s not 12 years since 2010. I’m confused…

Jupiter is dipping its toe into Pisces this year but its main transit through Pisces is next year 2022. So, it’s reflecting themes from that time period.

        Hi Sally,

Please do a combo blog if at all positive. I know Djokovic is a Sun-Gemini too!

If you don’t find time to analyze individual tennis players’ chart, please consider analysis of tournament charts.

        Thanks a lot.

Hard to say more than in the monthly horoscopes without looking at the whole of your birth chart – I do offer readings if you’re interested. Mid-May definitely more helpful than the end of the month.

      Hello there, Jayne!

If you’ll just put in where you were born and proceed, it will give you your birth chart. As soon as Sally posts the horoscope for the month, base what she says about Gemini for whatever month you’d wish and add what you know from your birth chart to it. I’m only 12, so take it from me, it’s a lot easier to understand! I know, I’m late… I’ve just found the website today, but it could be helpful for other occasions ?

I wish the best to you, hope this was helpful
