The last sign that Mercury entered on 31st May was Cancer and Mercury will remain here until 8th August. I’ll come back to what this mean’s shortly but firstly there’s unfinished business.
As the month begins, there are three planetary bodies up at the top of your chart in the sign of Gemini and they are the Sun (self), Mars (action) and Jupiter (opportunity). This puts the spotlight on your career, your vocation, your public profile and where you’re heading in life.
It’s potentially a successful period for you and for some what takes place this month is a culmination of all that you’ve achieved over the last 12 months. This is because Jupiter has been in Gemini since last summer and on the 26th of this month Jupiter moves on.
However, this isn’t before one of the luckiest days of the year, the 19th June, when the Sun and Jupiter come together in Gemini suggesting a celebration or significant achievement. As this connection takes place in your success sector, it spells good news for your work, your status or your reputation. It also suggests that whatever your goals or ambitions, this is a great month to go for it.
Not only do you have the Sun/Jupiter connection but you have Mars in this same sector of your chart and there’s a New Moon in Gemini on the 8th. New Moons are great for initiating action and making things happen so look lively, whether you’re seeking work, going for promotion or you’re involved in any other kind of project that finds you in the public eye.
But back to Mercury. Mercury is now in Cancer, the sign that rules friendships, groups, networking, your community and the wider society. It’s about reaching out to other people and working and playing alongside others. If you want to connect with more people for whatever reason, here’s your chance. Join a club, group or society; organise a reunion; get together with your best friends to plan a holiday or start a part-time business. Whatever fits for you, this is a great time to start expanding your world and to appreciate and treasure the people in it.
On the 3rd and 4th, Mercury trines Neptune and Saturn respectively. These three planets make what’s called a grand trine, i.e. a triangle in the heavens. They’re all in water signs and they focus on people and connections. This is the first of five grand water trines this month and next and the onus is on emotions and sentimentality. Water signs rule the emotional realm and for some this is bound to be a massive couple of months romantically. Whether you’re getting married, engaged or you fall head over heels in love, there’s more than one Virgo who’s going to be swept away on a wave of emotion.
It doesn’t have to be romantic, however, and instead you may find yourself inspired to volunteer or help other people in some way. This whole combination is perfect for charity work or a spiritual quest and tapping into your heart’s desire. Don’t forget, however, that you are one of the earth signs and it’s important to keep your feet on the ground. When Neptune’s dominant, as it is on or around the 7th, it’s easy to lose yourself in a fantasy world so check whether you’re viewing life through rose-coloured glasses and if in doubt, ask someone you trust for their advice.
It’s also worth leaving money out of the equation and realise that this isn’t the best time to invest or loan money. Neptune can be extremely seductive but that doesn’t mean you should believe everything you hear. Use your common sense and don’t let anyone unscrupulous pull the wool over your eyes.
This is even more important once Mercury turns retrograde on the 26th as this is a classic time of misunderstandings and possible confusion. The best advice this month is for you to enjoy your emotional connections but be discerning about who you do and don’t trust.
If in doubt, turn to your friends and people who know you to help you see the truth of a situation. Jupiter enters this sector of your chart on the 26th and it’s your friends, groups and the wider community in your life that will bring the real opportunities your way over the next 12 months.
