Virgo (23 August-22 September)
There’s a sense of deja-vu to your stars this month as patterns repeat that began in October. Three times a year, your planet Mercury ruling communication, turns retrograde and reverses through the heavens before turning and picking up speed again. Mercury starts this month in the sign of Scorpio where it was back in October. This is your communication sector so if you feel as if you’ve been going round in circles trying to sort things out or having to repeat yourself, this is the reason why.
Even now, you have to go over old ground and review and double check what was put in place some time ago. It may feel frustrating but it’s necessary and the good news is that you’re on the home stretch. Mercury remains in Scorpio until the 11th so finalise details, call people up, rewrite your report, talk to your sister, brother or neighbour for the umpteenth time about the same issue, whatever it is you know you need to sort out, write down or talk about. This is your chance to get it right and persistence will bring results and reward.
On the 11th, Mercury moves to the sign of Sagittarius down at the base of your chart. Sagittarius rules home and family matters and is your link to the past. Here again we’re in deja-vu territory especially since Mercury squares Neptune on the 11th as it did on the 29th October and the 14th November. Neptune blurs your vision and makes life confusing and brings the possibility of more misunderstandings between you and a loved one. The lines of communication aren’t clear so whether you’re trying to sort out the arrangements for Christmas or you’re attempting to drop hints about presents to your other half, it’s not going to be easy.
You may feel as if someone close to you doesn’t understand you or you them and once again you’re being asked to be patient or perhaps to consider doing things differently. When words fail you, what can you turn to? Neptune rules images and compassion and when Venus is in on the act as it is from the 16th, it rules love. Whatever your differences with the people close to you, they’re still family or friends and sometimes all it takes is love to break through the barriers that your mind or words can erect.
In fact, mid-month could be a complete revelation when a New Moon in Sagittarius on the 13th followed by Venus entering Sagittarius on the 16th brings illumination and a chance to begin again. All the confusion or struggles of the past two months can be put behind you and you can get on with enjoying the run up to the festive season.
Keep an eye out too for some unexpected help, advice or support. This may come in the shape of a cash bonus or a surprise offer from someone close. The dates to note are the 13th, 14th and 19th when Uranus brings surprises. These are also great dates to find bargains on the internet or last-minute Christmas presents that not only come at a good price but are inventive or original too. Inspiration strikes and you find it easy to sort things out in time for Christmas.
However, it has to be said that juggling home and work life on the run up to Christmas could be exhausting at times. It does look as if you have a lot on and if your work involves numerous social engagements, it’s easy to find yourself burning the candle at both ends and having little time left for yourself. The plus side is that there’s plenty of fun to be had and throwing yourself into the Christmas spirit is decidedly enjoyable.
Some of you may also work in a profession which means you’re working on Christmas Day but with the Moon in Gemini, it’s guaranteed to be fun and sociable wherever you are. Certainly 2012 will come to a close with a bang and it’s a month you won’t forget in a hurry but for many of the right reasons.
When it comes to love, if you’re in a relationship or married, you may find that work and family commitments mean you don’t see as much of each other as you would like and you need to work at keeping the spark of love alive. Grab your moments whilst you can and take advantage of the time you can spend together to be romantic. The 22nd is a great night for a date as is New Year’s Eve when your ruler Mercury moves into your fellow earth sign of Capricorn.
In fact, if you’re single, there’s no reason why you can’t experience a passionate December as Mars, the passion planet, is also in Capricorn until the 26th. Make the most of what this month brings and enter the New Year determined to enjoy life and to fulfil some of your career ambitions. There’s a lot to look forward to in 2013.
