Scorpio (24 October – 22 November)
Your ruling planet, Mars, is back up to speed and retracing its steps where it was in the zodiac from mid-May to early June 2018. If plans or projects have been on hold, you can start to make significant headway this month and a lot of your success is up to you.
In fact, early in September, don’t wait to hear back from other people. Instead, take the initiative while Mars is strong in its sign of exaltation, Capricorn, and your communication sector. This theme peaks on the 11th and 12th when expansive Jupiter in Scorpio teams up with your co-ruler, Pluto, also in Capricorn.
This may be your cue to deal with a taboo issue in your life. In fact, expressing your real self could be cathartic at this time when the Jupiter-Pluto combination brings together luck and power. There’s a rebirth theme about this planetary duo, so think self-transformation too and what you want to change or do differently.
Both planets are focused on the psyche, an ideal time to go in deep, be self-analytical and honest about any hidden motivations. The more you ‘know yourself’, this month, the more successful you are in getting yourself heard.
People count in September too, as the predominance of planets light up the earth signs and the people sectors of your horoscope. There’s a Grand Earth Trine on the 7th involving Mercury, the planet of communication, in Virgo and your friendship and group sector.
Two days later, the New Moon, a symbol of new beginnings, also falls in this part of your horoscope. Therefore, be around your friends now and help one another. This is a powerful time for community and collaboration.
If you’re a typical Sun Scorpio, you often keep yourself to yourself and you’re a private individual. This doesn’t have to change dramatically, i.e. you turn into a raging extrovert. Do, however, honour and value your friendships, especially those people who are loyal to you and can assist you in any number of ways. Whether you’re a teacher or a student, there’s a lot on offer in the month of September.
On the 11th, Mars, your traditional ruler, returns to Aquarius where it remains until November 15th. Aquarius rules your home and family, your past and where you come from and this is where Mars was retrograde in July and August and where delays and hold-ups were likely.
This is an excellent time to be proactive in these areas of your life, whether you’re moving home, renovating or organising a family get-together. There is a tricky date admittedly, when Mars clashes with Uranus in your opposite star sign Taurus on the 18th.
This is a repeat of the same planetary clash which took place on May 16th and August 2nd and this is the third and final connection. Avoid impulsive moves on or around this date and don’t fan the flames of a troubled relationship.
You can’t count out someone leaving or taking off, even if only for a short time. If this happens, let things settle down before you try and smooth over any ructions.
The end of the month is much more harmonious as both talk planet Mercury and the Sun enter the sign of balance, Libra, on the 22nd and 23rd respectively. The Sun’s move into Libra coincides with the Equinox and this is often a key period of preparation for you.
On the 24th and 27th, Mars aligns with Mercury and the Sun, ideal for reconciliation or healing a rift. The Full Moon too highlights the Libra/Aries axis of the zodiac. A time to listen and keep calm. Sometimes a situation demands less words not more.
Finally, you have love planet Venus in your star sign Scorpio from the 9th onwards. It remains here for the majority of the next four months, suggesting a potentially sexy and passionate chapter.
Venus in Scorpio is deep and intense; Venus highlights love and relating, also art and beauty. This can be a time of rich learning when it comes to your 1-to-1’s and, potentially, your legendary Scorpio magnetism is back.
