SCORPIO (24 October-21 November)
Your ruling planet Mars is on the move on Monday 19th December as it enters your fellow water sign Pisces. This is an important shift for you and whatever you’re doing on the run up to Christmas, it’s time to ensure you’re having fun.
Pisces rules the sector of your chart that represents good times, children, entertainment, romance. It’s the play sector of your chart and Mars remains here for the next six weeks.
So you may be more than ready to throw yourself into the party scene, you could be catching up with someone special or you’re looking forward to spend time with your children or grandchildren as this festive time of year.
The period between Christmas and New Year is especially good for socialising or romancing. Your choice. Neptune gets pulled in to the planetary picture and Neptune is the romance planet.
As your ruler Mars teams up with Neptune on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day, this signifies a special end to the year for you. Be with the one you love or make sure you’re invited to a party where you’ll meet new people if you’re looking for love.
Yet Neptune isn’t only about romance. This is the planet which allows you to tap into your creative and spiritual source. The period between Christmas and New Year is brilliant for using your imagination, seeking out inspiration and playing around with new ideas.
Communication planet Mercury is on go slow or retrograde from December 19th 2016 to January 8th 2017 and is in your communication sector. So things could break down or go wrong (back up important documents now!) but this is also positive for a year end review.
The Sun lights up this same sector of your chart from December 21st and the New Moon in Capricorn on December 29th is positively buzzing with excitement. This is a great day to immerse yourself in a book or podcast that inspires you, to hang out with new people, share ideas, be open to life.
The theme of change dominates this festive fortnight, a sense of renewal on all levels. This is because of the Jupiter-Uranus opposition which is exact on Boxing Day, December 26th, but lively over the next two weeks.
Uranus is in your work and health sector, so this might be about wanting to shake up your routine and do things differently. You could make some radical decisions now about your health and fitness, especially when Uranus turns direct on December 29th.
It may be the end of a job or contract that’s the catalyst for doing something different. Certainly this is not a time when you’ll be satisfied with doing things the same day in, day out.
You’re more than ready for an alternative lifestyle, whether you choose to go freelance, you’re keen to follow a spiritual path or you simply want something more from life.
If you’re in a relationship or married, it may be your partner who triggers the need for change as Venus, your partner planet, is in full flow on Christmas Day itself. For some, it’s the need for more security on a financial level that is the reason why you’re ready to do things differently.
