Sagittarius (22 November – 21 December)
There’s a lot of action taking place this month in the sign of Virgo and this is important for you because your ruling planet Jupiter has been in Virgo since August 2015.
Virgo is the sign at the top of your solar chart and it rules your career and vocation, your future and where you’re heading in life. Jupiter is the planet of opportunity and growth so it’s a good time to play big with regard to your career and Jupiter’s linked to foreign connections and freedom.
How does this apply to your personal situation? For some, it might represent promotion, becoming employed after a period of unemployment, selling a business, taking a sabbatical, finding a job you love. For others, you might be on the verge of something new and this month’s stars could help you achieve your goals.
This is because of the number of planets starting to move through Virgo and backing up Jupiter’s presence in this part of your chart. Communication planet Mercury is in Virgo all month and from the 5th-30th it’s joined by Venus, the planet of relating. Plus on the 22nd, the Sun also enters Virgo.
So this is a key month for negotiations, teaming up with other people to further your career. The best dates are the 22nd and 27th when Jupiter teams up with Mercury and Venus respectively. This is brilliant for networking, for finding the right person to help you, for enjoying what you do. Jupiter also represents luck so you could find yourself in the right place at the right time.
Make the most of this stunning astrology and look closely at what next. Jupiter will leave Virgo on September 9th and at the end of this month on the 30th, Mercury turns retrograde in Virgo. This means the communication planet will be on go slow until September 22nd and as next month includes two key eclipses lighting up the Virgo/Pisces axis of your chart, you know that change is on the way.
Therefore this month might be a time when you’re moving away from a position of responsibility or you’re considering changing jobs, letting go of something that’s been an established part of your life for some time. Do be ready for change and look closely at your own life to consider what’s shifting and where change is likely.
Plus before Mercury turns retrograde on the 30th, back up important correspondence and pay attention to any computer or transport niggles. Mercury is the trickster of the heavens when he’s in retreat.
Other areas of your life are also highlighted this month so there might be other reasons why you’re about to change direction or you need to do things differently. The key sectors in this respect are Sagittarius, your own sign and Pisces, the sign which rules your home and family.
When planets are in Sagittarius, they are linked to your physical body, your image and profile, your personal goals and aims. Since December 2014, Saturn has been in your sign for most of the time where it remains until December 2017.
Saturn’s not an easy planet and in fact, it’s the complete opposite of your ruling planet Jupiter. Saturn’s about responsibility, discipline, slowing down. It’s negative whereas Jupiter is positive. It stops you in your tracks, you’re faced with limitations or obstacles in your path.
This month on the 2nd, Mars joins Saturn in Sagittarius and this gives you some much needed drive and ambition. Mars is the push and shove of life, your fighting ability and Mars will remain in your sign until September 27th. So this is a go-for-it period when you need to be courageous and bold and take on adventure in your life.
Yet this month, Mars is still up against Saturn as Saturn turns direct on the 13th and later in the month Mars and Saturn stand side by side in Sagittarius on the 24th. Choose your battles wisely now, don’t overload your schedule or take on too much stress.
Next month, Mars will be able to move more swiftly through your sign as Saturn won’t be as strong. Work on your physical fitness now but don’t overdo it. Line up a new challenge in life but pace yourself.
You do need something to look forward to now and the best news for you is the fact that the Sun remains in your fellow fire sign of Leo until the 22nd. Leo is closely aligned to your sign of Sagittarius in your solar chart. This is because it rules travel and study, the bigger picture and all expansive activities dear to your heart.
You’re at your best when you’re able to soar free and you’re setting off on your next big adventure. The New Moon on the 2nd also lights up the sign of Leo and this would be a brilliant date to set off on holiday or sign up for a course.
If you’re feeling pulled in too many different directions now, something’s got to give and a change of scenery would be the perfect tonic. This helps you gain perspective on the bigger questions or issues in life. Find space and freedom in your everyday routine, play big, visualise what next and keep expanding your life outward.
You still have some tough astrology to contend with but that’s not to say you can’t enjoy yourself and take your fun when you find it. Look out for a synchronicity, an unusual occurrence that occurs around the 16th-18th. This could light up a fascinating time in your life linked to romance, children or your creativity.
Finally, support’s on hand too this month and your close relationships will be a boon. There might be reason to celebrate if your partner has good news towards the end of the month. If you’re in a relationship or married, be strong for one another.
