The weekend is upon us and this one is extra special. This is because there are two major planetary events taking place which both focus on new energy, getting things started.
New Moon Aquarius/Mars enters Aries
The first is the New Moon which takes place on Saturday 28th January [00:07 GMT] at 8 degrees Aquarius. The second is action planet Mars leaving behind the watery world of Pisces and entering its sign of rulership, Aries. This takes place a few hours after the New Moon, exact at 05:39 GMT.
Mercury moves out of shadow phase
If you want more confirmation that this is a go-getting weekend, then look no further than communication planet Mercury. Today, Friday 27th January, Mercury has reached 15 degrees Capricorn, the degree at which it turned retrograde on December 19th 2016. Mercury is officially out of its shadow phase.
Action Stations
The two events that are most exciting though are the New Moon in Aquarius and Mars’ move into Aries. A New Moon symbolises new beginnings, a chance to put the past behind you and focus on the future, to start afresh. Mars is the action planet, ready to make things happen and fast and it’s strong and powerful in the first sign of the zodiac.
Both Aries and Aquarius have similarities between the two signs; their focus is on the future, what next and they are both activists in their own way; Aries likes to fight for a cause and defend the underdog whereas Aquarius is the sign of the collective linked to social, political and humanitarian goals.
This is a great weekend to set things in motion, to draw up your goals for 2017, to focus your intent, to make a start on something new. You don’t have to go it alone either as you can gather people around you who want what you want.
