Libra (23 September – 23 October)
Venus and Mars, the lovers of the heavens, begin the month in your opposite sign of Aries.
Venus is your ruling planet but she’s not strong in Aries whereas Mars rules the roost. Venus remains in Aries until the 17th whilst Mars dominates as he’s here throughout the month and only leaves Aries on the 31st.
Aries is the sign that represents relationships in your life, personal and professional, in fact all your 1-to-1 interactions. This is a lively time for love with lots going on. If you met someone new last month when Venus and Mars kissed in the heavens on February 22nd, then expect your relationship to move at rocket speed. You’re blasting into orbit and leaving the past and old hurts behind. It’s a rush of energy and passion and it could be just what you need.
There’s certainly nothing dull about love and relationships now but at times it will feel too full on, too emotional or even too painful. This is because the lovers of the heavens clash with the Uranus-Pluto square on the 4th/5th and the 11th.
The exact Uranus-Pluto square takes place on March 17th and this is an important date as it’s the last Uranus-Pluto square for some time. These two mighty Titans of the zodiac have clashed seven times since June 2012 and their upheaval might have begun for you a few years previously. As stated Uranus in Aries is bringing change and unpredictability to your relationship sector and Pluto in Capricorn is down at the base of your chart ruling your home and family, your past and where you come from.
It’s these areas of your life that have been in the zap zone and this month brings the final hoorah. It does mean there’s a chance to move on from a difficult situation, to experience a sense of closure and to feel the relief that goes with it. The basic symbolism of Uranus-Pluto is out with the old and in with the new and it’s important to note that the only way to work with it is to say goodbye to the past and hello to the future.
It’s too difficult to resist change and instead you need to look at how you’re going to reinvent yourself or your relationship. Plus, and this is really important for you, on the date of the Uranus-Pluto square, your planet Venus also changes signs and moves from Aries into Taurus. In Aries she was weak as this is her sign of fall but in Taurus she’s strong as this is her sign of rulership. So you move from a position of weakness to a position of strength and regardless of what one particular individual is doing, you can effectively bypass or ignore them and get on with your own life.
With Venus in Taurus, this is about paying attention to all that’s good for you. Simple pleasures, being at one with nature, enjoying walks in the countryside, looking after your own financial security, considering your emotional well-being. Venus in Taurus is nurturing and nourishing and a safe base.
Turn to your family for love and support and if necessary financial help and look after your regular work and routine and do whatever’s necessary to be in flow. Have a healthy work/life balance, ensure your everyday lifestyle is working for you and aim for harmony on a daily level.
The sign of Pisces is an important backdrop to this month’s events and Pisces rules these key areas of your life; your work, how you earn a living and your health and fitness. The Sun is in Pisces until the 20th and Mercury, the communication planet, enters Pisces on the 13th. Plus the lunations, the New and Full Moons cut across the Virgo/Pisces axis of your chart. The Full Moon takes place on the 5th and this time around it’s a Solar or New Moon eclipse on the 20th.
Look after yourself during the Full Moon period and put your own needs first. If you’ve been spending too much time and energy caring for others, readjust the balance, or alternatively if you feel it would benefit you and others to offer your kindness and caring, do so. Pisces is a charitable and compassionate sign.
The Solar Eclipse is a potential turning point in your life and perhaps a wake-up call. Eclipses can bring what’s hidden to light and even though a Solar or New Moon eclipse represents new beginnings, this eclipse takes place at 29 Pisces, the last sign of the zodiac. So there may have to be an ending before there’s a new beginning.
If this is to do with your health, it could represent giving up a bad habit, doing less of what’s bad for you and more of what’s good for you. If it’s to do with work, it could herald a sea-change for the way you earn money or the job you do on a daily basis. Go with the flow and follow your instincts. Finally this month one of the most glorious planetary aspects takes place at the beginning of March on the 3rd. This is the second of three Jupiter-Uranus trine aspects in the heavens. The first aspect took place on September 25th 2014 and the third aspect will take place on June 22nd 2015. This is the middle one.
Jupiter and Uranus were sky gods in mythology so they represent breaking through and breaking free. Together they’re about taking risks, embracing new experiences, adventure and saying Yes to life. Uranus is in your opposite sign of Aries and Jupiter is in Leo, the sign that rules your friends, groups, social networks and social concerns.
