Libra (23 September-23 October)

Immediately the month of July begins, your planet Venus squares up to Saturn on the 1st. Saturn can be about loss or hardship and currently in your finance sector, you’re wise to pare back your budget and adopt a policy of saving rather than spending. Certainly this aspect may flag up where any problems are in your life and when Saturn’s strong, it’s always a good idea to take stock and write up a new game plan.

If you’re worrying about the future, things are going to get a whole lot better but for the first half of July, it may not seem that way and you certainly need to be patient. Mercury, planet of communication, is in retrograde motion until the 20th and is currently up at the top of your chart focusing on your career, vocation and where you’re heading.

Mercury retrograde slows things down and can bring miscommunication and delays. If you’re waiting to hear news about a job or work project, you’re most likely to get the green light on or around the 20th. It’s also important to remember that the Mercury retrograde period is never the best time to sign or seal a major transaction or contract as new information often comes to light once Mercury turns direct.

For some of you, there will be the promise of a new work venture or a fresh start in your career and there are a couple of reasons for this. Firstly the New Moon takes place in Cancer on the 8th July and this often brings in a fresh wave of energy and it’s a great day to initiate action on the work front. The most significant change, however, is due to Jupiter, planet of opportunity, now in Cancer and your career sector where it’s going to remain for the next twelve months.

Jupiter may free you from a difficult work situation or it will bring the chance to extend your horizons, seek work abroad, or nab your dream job. Jupiter holds a lot of promise and if you’re willing to move beyond your comfort zone and explore new options, there’s going to be plenty to be excited about over the next 12 months. Don’t sit back and wait for life to come to you, instead ensure that you get out there and make the most of the opportunities that open up for you.

The period from 17th-19th July may indicate what’s on offer for you as on these dates there’s a magical grand trine in the heavens. This involves Jupiter in Cancer trine to Saturn in Scorpio and Neptune in Pisces, focusing on the work and money sectors of your chart. This signals a chance to turn dreams into reality and it’s a wonderful time to use visualisation to make your dreams come true. There’s a charitable feel to this grand trine as well and the law of attraction suggests that what you give out will come back to you.

For some of you, this may involve good news for your partner as Mars, your partner planet, is at the same place in the heavens as Jupiter. This connection is exact on the 22nd but everything turns on or around the 20th. It’s also important to notice that the key planets are in water signs so trust your intuition and make decisions based on what feels right rather than what you think is right. This is where the magic lies.

Close relationships continue to spring surprises upon you but in some respects it’s nothing new. This is because the Uranus/Pluto square continues to be triggered by the personal planets as they move through the cardinal signs of Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn. This month, there are two key periods when anything goes, the 2nd-4th July and the 27th July-1st August. Whether this involves disruption or changes at home or a relationship that’s on-off, it’s an unpredictable and potentially difficult situation. However, life is giving you lots of chances to try and get this right or at least learn from the lessons that come your way.

There are times this month when you may feel as if you’re out of the loop or not included in the action. This is because your planet Venus is on a different path from the other major planets. Venus is in Leo and your friendship sector until the 22nd which reminds you that all work and no play is not a recipe for Libran happiness and suggests that even with the major changes that may be going on in your life, you can still rely on your friends to be there for you to provide support, fun and laughter.

On the 22nd, Venus moves into Virgo and the sign before yours so you may find that as the month ends, you want to create more peace and quiet in your life and have some down time. It’s often a soul-searching period when Venus is in the sign before yours and your hidden sector and another suggestion that your life path is changing. What once made you happy is no longer applicable and you realise that there are other areas or activities which you have to pursue. Go where your heart leads in order to find fulfilment.
