You can talk and talk as October begins but trying to reach an agreement or finalise anything important is not so straightforward.
Venus, the planet of relating, is in Leo and your communication sector until the 8th which is great for flirting, gossiping and meeting new people.
Yet in many respects this is a superficial buzz. Nothing wrong with that especially for you as a Gemini because you love banter and keeping things light. However, if you want to have a big conversation or deal with more serious issues then it’s best to wait until Mercury, your ruling planet, turns direct on the 9th.
Mercury is the planet of communication and since September 17th, Mercury has been retrograde or on go slow. This can be a tricky period for you as you’re Mercury-ruled. There can be misunderstandings, technology blips, people going quiet on you and life simply becomes more complex than usual.
So take the pace slow as October begins and don’t try and initiate too much that’s new. Instead bide your time and wait and see what happens. You might be trying to make up your mind about a big social event or get-together and if so, give yourself the first week before you commit.
Mercury is on go slow in your fellow air sign of Libra which represents all the good things in life: love affairs, children and pregnancy, creative projects, entertainment and luck. So if life’s been on hold in one of these areas and you haven’t been able to make the progress you would like, then expect the 9th to be a significant turning point.
Often when Mercury turns direct and picks up speed, new information comes to light and you were glad you waited. Notice who pops up or comes into your life on or around the 9th as this person can have an important role to play in your future.
The other powerful date for communication and new beginnings is the 13th when there’s a stunning New Moon in Libra. New Moons represent the start of a new moon cycle, ideal for initiating a conversation or project, starting afresh and putting new energy into life.
The 13th is important for another reason as there’s a powerful aspect in the heavens between Mercury, your ruler, and the planet of commitment, Saturn in your opposite sign of Sagittarius. This is about relationships for you and the ability to make up your mind, firm up agreements and hear other people’s opinions.
If you’ve been waiting to hear from someone significant, e.g. an ex, a new lover, a business partner, a legal official, then the 13th looks promising. Arrange an important meeting or interview for this date and be decisive. You can’t hedge your bets any longer and you need to let someone else know what you want/need.
With Saturn in your relationship sector, this gives a serious edge to love and relationships whether you’re single or married. You might want to keep love light as Mercury remains in Libra throughout October but Saturn doesn’t do light. It’s serious, official, commitment or nothing.
If you are in a new relationship or love is on the cards, it’s potentially complicated. Love and friendship don’t mix this month and if a triangle situation began at last month’s eclipse on September 28th, this can continue to have repercussions.
You might even be asked to choose between love and friendship. Your shout, but again do realise that you can’t avoid dealing with any potential conflict and it’s best to get things sorted out and speak the truth.
The main areas under the spotlight now are your home and family, your past and where you come from. There’s a host of planets in Virgo ruling this sector of your chart as Venus (relating) joins Mars (action) and Jupiter (opportunity) in Virgo on the 8th.
This is where the action’s at and it’s a brilliant month for a family celebration whether you’re getting together for a wedding, anniversary or gathering of the clans. This is where luck and good fortune can be found whether good news for someone in your family has a knock on effect in your own life or you feel happy for someone close and want to celebrate with them.
If you have family abroad, this is the month to be in touch. You might hear that someone’s coming to visit who you haven’t seen for a long time. If you keep thinking about family from your past or a childhood sweetheart, get back in touch and the 17th and 25th are special dates for re-connecting.
It’s also a positive month if you’re moving home or changing around your living accommodation. Jupiter is the planet of freedom and space so you might be considering a move abroad or finding somewhere to live that suits your situation better.
On the 11th there’s a stunning trine aspect between Jupiter in Virgo and Pluto in Capricorn. Together these two planets represent hidden riches and wealth. You could receive an inheritance, a significant return on investment, a gift or bonus. Property moves are well-starred and abundance is on offer via your home and your family.
If you are able to kick back at work and focus instead on other areas of your life, specifically your loved ones, pleasure and play, go for it. Saturn has now departed one of your work sectors so if you’ve been working too hard of late, even more reason to do less not more.
Trust that work will pick up again once the Sun enters Scorpio and this sector of your chart on the 23rd. There’s a brilliant Full Moon which cuts across the Taurus/Scorpio axis on the 27th and urges you to find a balance between work and play and to rest when you can.
