Capricorn Monthly Stars March 2013

Capricorn Maldives StampCapricorn (22 December-19 January)

If life is a muddle or other people aren’t getting their act together, there’s only one thing for you to do and that’s take charge. This month, your planet Saturn is in helpful mode and it’s up to you to create order out of chaos and stand up for what you believe in and ensure your voice is heard.

Miscommunications are on the cards as Mercury, the communication planet, is retrograde in your communication sector until the 17th. So it’s a double whammy of trickery for you and vitally important to double check correspondence, follow up phone calls and emails and do all that you can to keep the wheels of communication well-oiled and turning in the right direction.

Your planet Saturn is in action the first week of the month and even though it’s not the best time to make big decisions, that’s not to say you can’t have your own opinion or tell other people what you think they should do. This may apply in particular to a group or association in which you’re involved. Saturn is currently in the sign of Scorpio, ruling friendships, clubs and the wider society. Help people out whenever the voice of reason is needed or you feel a friend could do with a dose of common sense.

The 8th is a particularly important date for you as Saturn connects helpfully with Pluto in your own sign of Capricorn. This takes you back to last Christmas and what was going on in your life at that time. You may need to reiterate your opinion or remind others of what’s currently important in your life. Pluto in your sign is never easy, especially when it transits key planets in Capricorn but it is the planet of transformation and can lead to profound insight; think of the phoenix who rises from the ashes. When you go through the eye of a storm, you have the potential to come out the other side wiser and with greater self-understanding.

Most important, this month is speaking your mind and asking for what you want, which doesn’t always come easy. This applies not only to friends and groups but a love relationship as well. Even if you begin the month feeling confused, come the New Moon on the 12th, followed by Mercury’s direct motion on the 17th, you’ll start to feel more certain of what needs to be said. The New Moon is a brilliant day to make a fresh start which begins with a phone call, a text or email.

As the month progresses, planets start changing sign and one-by-one move into Aries the sign at the bottom of your chart. This puts the spotlight on your home and family, your domestic situation and your past. Mars (action) enters Aries on the 12th followed by the Sun on the 20th and Venus (relating) on the 22nd.

There’s a sense of urgency about this area of your life as the planets in Aries connect to the ongoing Uranus-Pluto square in the heavens. This builds as you head towards the Easter weekend and there may need to be a confrontation in order to clear the air. Again this is about speaking your mind and ensuring that your own needs are met.

Family scenarios are invariably tricky and it’s a rare family that gets on famously with no issues along the way. If someone’s behaving badly, you may want to remove yourself from the equation for the time being. There’s a powerful and emotional Full Moon on the 27th which feels decidedly volatile. If any old hurts resurface on or around this time, see this as a chance to clear the air and get things out in the open. Sweeping everything under the carpet doesn’t help resolve any issue in the long run and difficult though it may be, the planets are aligned to urge you to sort things out together.

It does feel as if the end of the month is very much a case of out with the old and in with the new. Best-case scenario is a major spring clean over the Easter weekend. De-cluttering can be incredibly satisfying but it may not only be your home that requires a new lick of paint and a fresh start.
