Cancer (22 June – 22 July)
This month brings a shift in your life as both talk planet, Mercury, and relating planet, Venus, are moving forwards in your fellow water sign, Pisces. This feels creative for you and any activity that takes you beyond the everyday is recommended.
Pisces rules travel and study in your horoscope, it’s about the bigger picture and lining up adventures and new experiences. If last month’s Mercury retrograde phase brought uncertainty or indecision, you can now start to trust your intuition and make significant moves.
Reach Out To The World
This combination suggests you’ll be around other people who inspire you, especially women. Global connections feature strongly so accept invitations that move you beyond your own four walls. Reach out to other people and be pro-active in life.
If you’re a true Sun Cancer, you have a vivid imagination and this is an excellent time to learn more, to be curious and soul-led.
This could also awaken new ideas and opportunities for you with regard to your career and vocation. This month’s astrology focuses on these key areas of your life as the personal planets move through Aries.
Firstly, the Sun is here until the 20th and, on the 5th, there’s a New Moon in Aries. The New Moon is a symbol of new beginnings and an excellent date to set your intentions for what next. If you’ve felt lost or confused recently, start to sow seeds and initiate action.
The more seeds you sow, the more chance you have of something taking root, growing and flourishing. Not all seeds come to fruition. Yet, you’ll find out which seeds to nurture and which are going nowhere.
The Full Moon on the 19th is a repeat of last month’s Full Moon on March 21st. Both key events cut across the Aries-Libra axis of the zodiac highlighting your work and career, your home and family. This is about your foundations, where you come from and where you’re heading.
As a Moon child, you are often closely attuned to the New and Full Moons. Use the Full Moon energy to make clear decisions about where your priorities lie. Balance is a key feature of the Full Moon in Libra – working to heal oppositions in your life and to find a balanced lifestyle.
This is particularly important once both Mercury and Venus enter Aries on the 17th and 20th respectively. This indicates a flurry of communication, networking or ideas. Aries is fast-paced and planets in Aries require your attention. Acting immediately doesn’t always come easily to you but bear this in mind, be decisive in your actions and ask for help when you need it.
You may also gain a new perspective on where you’re heading and why this month. Big planet, Jupiter, is currently in Sagittarius and your work and health sector. Jupiter turns retrograde on the 10th, when its energy feels intense. Plus, the period between the 10th and 15th is key for these areas of your life.
De-Stress, Take On Less
You might be in overload and be more than ready for a break. Or perhaps, you have new opportunities piling up and don’t know which way to turn. It feels fully and busy. If you take on a new responsibility or role this month, balance this with self care. Your health and well-being are under the cosmic spotlight and require attention.
It’s also important to find a way to lessen your stress levels. You might not want to take on too much or put added pressure on yourself. The planet that represents anger, Mars, is currently in Gemini and the most hidden sector of your horoscope.
Take care that you don’t turn your anger in on yourself. If you’re feeling irritated or frustrated, find a positive outlet for your emotions. Same goes for any form of negative thinking. Do whatever you can to knock it on the head and not be overly critical.
This combination indicates that you may be working behind the scenes or busy with a project which you’re not yet ready to show the world. You’re collecting your own thoughts or getting ideas together. There’s no rush to take things further if you choose not to.
Instead, prioritise the work you do on yourself and take good care of you. If you enjoy reading, lose yourself in a good book. If you find that writing or journalling help you make sense of your busy mind, start a daily ritual.
Take your time when it comes to personal issues and projects. Know that it’s enough that you’re working towards them. If you’re dealing with secrets or you don’t want to hurt someone close by revealing your inner thoughts, keep matters to yourself for now. Make time for privacy.
This could be linked to what’s happening in your love life or your personal relationships. Saturn is your partner planet and there are currently two key influences in Capricorn and your relationship sector. These involve the planets Pluto and Saturn, both of which undergo a turning point in the month ahead.
Pluto turns retrograde on the 24th followed by Saturn on the 30th. When the slower moving planets are on go slow, their retrograde phase lasts for a few months. Their attention is turned inwards which suggests an important phase of inner work.
Plus, both planets are next to the south node this month, which is rare. Pluto conjoins with the south node on the 4th and Saturn on the 30th. Therefore, be aware of what’s happening in your 1-to-1’s. The south node represents your comfort zone, what you retreat to in life. It’s also about withdrawing on some level and taking a step back.
Notice your habits when it comes to love and relationships. What’s easy for you and where do you feel attached? This combination could flag up a significant shift for a partner or ex, someone who’s played a key role in your life.
It might be your personal journey or relate to someone close. Either way, the potential for learning about love and relationships is huge. Not always easy, but possibly revelatory. Take your time, as this process will unfold over the next five months.
