Neptune enters Pisces

Neptune enters Pisces today, February 3 2012, for the first time since it was discovered in 1846. Neptune is coming home as Neptune, God of the sea, co-rules the water sign, Pisces. Neptune’s realm is the world of illusion and it was discovered during an era of major developments in photography and film, pharmaceuticals, cults and the occult, the spiritualist movement, the Romantics and communism. Neptune rules gas, oil and liquids.

The world of escapism is Neptune’s domain which includes poetry, music and art; love; drink and drugs; spirituality and mysticism. Pisceans are sensitive, empathic, visionary and sometimes impractical and gullible. Neptune’s world is the glamorous world of the celebrity, seeking fame and fortune, based on fantasy rather than reality.

Neptune remains in Pisces for the next 12 years so it could be a boom decade for photographers, musicians, film-makers, marine biologists, anaesthetists, romantics, oil men and con men. Miracle cures, weird sea creatures, global unity, telepathic communcation, altered states; the list of new possibilities, in true Neptunian fashion is boundless.

Down by the sea

I lost control here

Living free”

  1. Truly fascinating! I can’t wait to see what this means for me with my moon in Pisces. Thanks for this, I very much enjoyed reading all that Neptune in Pisces will bring.

    1. hi Bianca, it depends what the Moon rules in your own chart. For a general heads up, the Moon rules emotions so expect heightened intuition/empathy but keep boundaries in place emotionally too! Thanks, Sally

  2. Sally, this sounds very exciting indeed! Loving the sound of my stars for February too (I’m Piscean) and that’s an inspiring and lovely piece of music you’ve used here too.
