Venus Retrograde
Venus, the love planet, remains retrograde until the 29th. This is a good period to indulge in love but not to make any major decisions about love or issue an ultimatum. Keep your options open and don’t allow yourself to be rushed into making a decision.
Venus retrograde can be incredibly creative and artistic. You may be using art or beauty as a muse within your current work, career or vocation.
Or, perhaps you have a team of people who you enjoy being with, whether on- or off-line. This is the ideal, that you find like-minded souls, especially women, to walk alongside you on your future path. The 5th & 9th could be stand-out dates to explore the emotional side of your work and find people you can connect with.
Venus is your partner planet so don’t make any major love decisions until Venus is back to direct motion at the end of the month.
Mercury Retrograde
Mercury is the planet of communicator and linked to the mind. Mercury enters Aquarius on the 2nd, one of the air signs. Aquarius rules your friends and group activities and it’s here where you can find support and companionship.
Ensure you have a good social network in your life, listen and counsel and ask for the same in return. Mercury is slowing down throughout January and turns retrograde on the 14th, so this is not a month to rush ahead.
Mercury remains retrograde and on go slow until February 4th. This can be a time of misunderstandings or untruths. Don’t believe everything you hear and don’t make assumptions based on what you read.
This may be a good time to reconnect with friends from your past and you may feel unusually nostalgic or sentimental. This might include getting back in touch with someone you were at school with or someone you met on your travels.
– Your ruling planet Mars is in fire sign Sagittarius until the 24th. This is a go-getting planet/sign placing for Mars so even though there may be hesitance or restriction this month, you’re likely to have plenty of energy. Line up some travel or study goals for later in the year or find your crusade.
It’s likely that this is going to be a stop-start month. Mars enters Capricorn and your career and vocation sector on the 24th, two days before Mercury retrogrades back into Capricorn on the 26th. This could flag up a new work option or a career turning point. Alternatively, one job or role could come to an end.
You may be completing a chapter that began early 2020 or be ready to begin a new mission in 2022. Either way, expect plans to change until Mercury turns direct on February 4th.
