Aquarius (20 January-18 February)
December brings answers and as soon as the month begins you can start to make headway with regard to a career dilemma or a decision that’s going to affect your future. Mercury, the planet of communication, is in Scorpio up at the top of your chart for the first 10 days of the month.
This not only suggests that any hold ups or misunderstandings can be resolved but talking things through with others and key meetings or interviews help you find clarity and a new found sense of direction. It’s always helpful to resolve any difficulties or problems before the end of one year so you can start the new year afresh feeling determined and positive.
Look out for helpful contacts in the first half of the month, especially a female role model or a woman in a powerful position whose influence and experience can benefit you. Some of you are on the verge of moving the next stage up the ladder, starting your own business or taking a new direction with regard to work and career.
Saturn, your traditional ruling planet, has been in Scorpio and your career sector since early October and more importantly Saturn remains here for the next couple of years. It’s the “get real” planet so it can just as easily be about a job ending that necessitates a change of direction, as it can mean being offered a new position or role that’s an extra level of responsibility and requires your commitment.
The end of the month is also an excellent time to decide what next with regard to career and your vocation. On the 27th, Saturn teams up in an easy alignment with the planet of transformation Pluto. This is about trusting yourself and making a key decision about your career that’s going to see you through the next two years. As this coincides with a Full Moon in Cancer on the 28th, some of you will be offered or find about a new job at this time. Whatever takes place will give you a renewed strength of purpose and a clear sense of direction.
Networking also pays dividends this month so think about joining a new group, club or association. It may be an online group or a group within your local community. The exact details don’t matter but making new friends and sharing ideas with others helps to inspire you and make work more fun.
But it’s not all about work this month as there’s plenty of opportunity to throw yourself into the festive spirit and to enjoy yourself with friends and family. There’s a lively feel to the month and some of the most enjoyable occasions will be last-minute, on-the-spur-of-the-moment invitations. So don’t have too rigid a schedule and allow for the unexpected.
The 13th looks brilliant for a night out with a New Moon in Sagittarius and Uranus, your modern planet, turning direct in Aries. Sagittarius and Aries are fire signs, exciting and adventurous, so say Yes to a new experience or something different you haven’t done before. Meeting people is key to this month’s potential as well and if you feel as if life has become mundane or samey, make the effort to join in and find new ways to socialise.
If you already have a brilliant social life, then there’s every chance to go over the top this month and indulge yourself on more than one occasion. Parties and good times fall under Jupiter’s domain and with Jupiter excessively active, especially on the 3rd, 17th and 23rd, anything goes. Jupiter’s currently in your romance sector so it’s good news if you’re looking for love or you’ve recently started dating. Have fun with your other half and if you’re single, keep your options open.
Don’t feel as if you have to make a final decision about love or who you want to be with until the end of the year. Christmas Day itself looks lively for you with the Moon in the sociable sign of Gemini and New Year’s Eve looks special with the Moon in your opposite sign of Leo. It’s a brilliant night for love.
Finally, Mars, the action planet, is tucked away in your chart until Boxing Day, the 26th, so the work you do behind the scenes will be most effective. Actively create some quiet time in your life amidst the hectic run up to Christmas. Mars enters Aquarius, your sign, on the 26th which helps you focus on you, your personal goals and ambitions as one year comes to a close and a new year begins. The decisions you make at year’s end are key to your success in 2013 and beyond, so choose wisely and have a happy and prosperous New Year.
