Sagittarius Monthly Stars February 2013

Sagittarius Greek StampSagittarius (22 November-21 December)

At the tail end of last month on 30th January, your ruling planet Jupiter turned direct in Gemini and will now move forwards in the heavens in your opposite sign up until the end of June.

Jupiter in Gemini puts the spotlight on your one-to-one relationships, both personal and professional. This has got to spell good news for love or a key partnership in your life and suggests that there’s a chance to speed things up and create the results you want.

The danger this month however is that you’re going to try and run before you can walk. It’s as if you’ve been given a green light and you’re ready to change your life around and fast and there are a couple of reasons for this.

Firstly, Jupiter is prominent this month but it only squares other planets and as Jupiter is an exuberant energy, you can add the prefix ‘over-‘ to many words and activities to describe what’s going on. There’s an excess of energy, an over-optimism, a desire to dash from one experience to another. With Jupiter in Gemini, the sign of the twins, some of you may be involved in more than one relationship, unable to make up your mind who to choose. Jupiter squares increase your need for freedom and new sensations and if you’re a typical Sagittarius, you’re a hedonist at heart and love to live life full on.

Mercury is your partner planet as Mercury naturally rules the sign of Gemini. Jupiter squares Mercury on the 9th, then on the 23rd Mercury turns retrograde for a period of three weeks until 17th March. Mercury will square Jupiter twice more on the 10th and 29th March. This adds up to a potentially confusing and complex picture where relationships are concerned and it’s easy to jump to conclusions. It may be your partner who’s unsure about what they want and makes a U-turn in the relationship only to change their mind again or you may be the one who finds you’re dealing with unclear emotions and find it hard to see your way through the fog of strong feelings and shifting events.

The key to all of this is to bide your time and slow down the pace and where possible put off any major relationship decision until next month. By then, one or both of you will know what you want and be ready to speak your true intentions.

Jupiter’s also the planet of justice and truth and this month you may be fighting for your rights or defending others’ beliefs. There’s a powerful Full Moon on the 25th which Jupiter squares and suggests you may be at odds with a second party or an organisation and you feel it’s important to stand up for yourself and what you believe in.

Jupiter’s particularly active on the 9th and 10th when it squares Mercury and Mars respectively. This feels like a case of information overload and it’s important to remember that Jupiter is not strong in the sign of Gemini. Jupiter urges you to nail your colours to the mast and seek out a higher meaning in life. Gemini is more concerned with trivial matters, gossip and you may waste your energy being involved in too many different activities at once. Take care that you don’t overestimate what you’re capable of and that you’re not all mouth and no trousers and that you do put your ideas into practise.

Admittedly this won’t be easy this month but forewarned is forearmed so create strategies that help you manage your time and remember the four D’s rule if you feel overwhelmed with the amount you have to do either at work or at home: do, ditch, delegate or defer.

There is a positive influence this month concerning the sign of Aquarius, which rules communication. There’s a New Moon on the 10th, a great day to start afresh and create new intentions and helpful Venus is in Aquarius from the 2nd-26th so advice and support are there for you. Work with the stars this month and not against them.

There’s a strong emphasis too on home and family affairs and your past and this may take you on a winding road of discovery. If things aren’t easy, be patient and know there’s light at the end of the tunnel. If you’re seeking answers, you may have to wait a while and next month’s stars look promising for solutions or reconciliation. Pisces is the sign that rules this sector of your chart and Pisces is vulnerable and sensitive but also compassionate. When in doubt, give love and know that this month words may be spoken in haste and other people too may feel unsure or uncertain of the path ahead.

    1. You’re welcome, Ntathu. I think everyone may be feeling a little muddled with the Mercury retrograde/Neptune aspects so strong this month. Great for intuition, imagination and inspiration – I’ve just created the 3-i rule as well! Creativity in action… Wishing you well, Sx
