Leo and Kate: most romantic couple ever
Earlier this year Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet were voted the most romantic onscreen couple of all time for their romance in the 1997 epic movie Titanic. They beat off stiff competition from the likes of Clark Gable and Vivien Leigh in Gone with the Wind and Richard Gere and Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman.

It takes a certain chemistry to be voted “most romantic movie couple ever” and astrologically Leo and Kate are a perfect match. Leonardo DiCaprio is a Scorpio (born 11 November 1974) and Kate Winslet is a Libran (born 5 October 1975). Kate is, in fact, a triple Libran with the Sun, Moon and Ascendant all in this most romantic of star signs. Look at Leo’s chart and you discover that although he’s a Sun Scorpio, both his Moon and Ascendant are in Libra. Take the astrology one step further and like Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor before them (see previous post), Leo and Kate have a cosmic marriage. Leo’s Moon is in the same place in the heavens as Kate’s Sun and Moon.
The pair teamed up again a decade later to play an unhappily married suburban couple in Revolutionary Road, a far cry from the star-crossed lovers who come from different worlds but whose love is passionate and lasts forever.
So will Leo and Kate ever become a romantic couple in real life? Not necessarily although I imagine that at times it’s like looking in a mirror as they’re so similar in many ways. Let’s hope there are more romantic movie roles for them as a couple in the future to recapture the magic of their first and best love affair.
ps. Titanic will be re-released in 3D on 6 April 2012, the same day as a glorious Full Moon in Libra. Wonderful symbolism to reflect Leo and Kate’s cosmic marriage in Libra!
