Born in Blackpool, I studied German language & literature at Manchester University, specialising in the sexual nature of fairytales, the start of my love affair with symbolic language. I’m sure my northern roots help me bring the magical art of astrology down to earth in a way that’s easy to understand and accessible.

My astrological journey began in 1989 when I fell in love with the subject and decided to study with the Company of Astrologers based in London; I passed their advanced course in Craft and Creativity in 1994. During the late 1990’s I tutored for the Company and I have lectured and taught astrology in London and Brighton.

Media astrology has been my career for almost 25 years and I have written horoscopes and astrology features for many top newspapers and magazines in the UK, including the TV Times, the Daily Star newspaper and the Sunday Express magazine.

The years from 1997-2000 were particularly eventful for me. In 1997, I celebrated buying my first home and grieved my father’s death. In 1998, I met my fellow Scorpio soulmate, Dave, travelling in Venezuela. I love synchronicity and it’s amazing how I met my partner on the other side of the world but we lived 5 minutes away from one another in London.

In 2000, our daughter was born one month after my mother died. It was a bitter-sweet time but throughout I was greatly supported by family and friends. I also attended a monthly women’s spirituality group where we’d share food, share our problems, laugh together and leave feeling a lot happier and lighter.

My interest in personal development work has always run alongside my fascination with astrology. I took the More To Life weekend back in 1989 followed by the advanced courses, Way of a Warrior and Ten Days of Creation. My own spiritual path has deepened over the last few years and I practice yoga and belong to a meditation group. It’s a balance to the fun side of me that loves to party, have girls’ nights’ out and try new experiences with family and friends.

We all have our own journey in life and astrology has become deep-rooted in my own life. It not only reminds me of the interconnectedness of all things but is proof that we inhabit a meaningful universe.
